The purpose of this Policy is to provide the procedures for the resignation of full-time faculty.
A faculty member may terminate services effective at the end of an academic year provided that written notice is given at the earliest possible opportunity, ordinarily on or before December 31 but not later than May 15 (except faculty being evaluated for advancement in rank, where the deadline will on or before June 15). A waiver of this requirement of notice may properly be requested only in case of documented hardship.
Resignation—the voluntary separation from employment initiated by a faculty member.
