This is a four-year program of study for students of violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, French horn, trombone, tuba, harp or percussion. The curriculum for this major combines courses in advanced music performance, music academics, music skills and general academics and prepares students both for employment in the professional world and to continue their education at the graduate level.
