Palm Beach County teacher and Lynn Ed.D. student recognized

Deidre Reid-Thomas, a teacher in the Palm Beach County School District, is pursuing her Ed.D. at Lynn University, a doctoral degree with a concentration on Educational Leadership K-12. As a member of Lynn’s inaugural Ed.D. cohort, she began the Ed.D. in August of 2009 and will graduate in May of this year.
Recently, Reid-Thomas was one of seven individuals nationwide to be named a 2011 Carnegie Project of the Education Doctorate (CPED) Research Fellow. In this role, she will organize, analyze and report on data in the signature learning processes, learning environments and patterns of engagement of faculty and candidates in Ed.D. programs that participate in CPED.
“My interests lie in curriculum development,” said Reid-Thomas. “As a result, my capstone involves building a curriculum based on the story of the SS St. Louis Legacy Project.”
