Rachel Pauletti, Lynn University’s 2023 Teacher of the Year, has taken a position as an executive-in-residence for the institution.

A former full-time associate professor in the College of Arts and Sciences at Lynn, Pauletti taught graduate-level multivariate statistics. Her teaching philosophy introduced students to real-world applications, used media to demonstrate important psychological concepts that can explain human behavior in consumer decision-making, politics, education, parenting and professional environments.

During her professorship, Pauletti brought to light mental health advocacy in Lynn's Citizenship Project—an experiential learning opportunity that focuses on community service work. She also led the thesis in psychology course, where she mentored graduate students in the M.S. in psychology program on mastering scientific writing and data analysis.

Moving forward

Pauletti—a researcher at heart—stepped away from her full-time role at Lynn to focus on research projects and share her expertise in assessment, personality and data science. She now assists the vice president of Academic Affairs with accreditation and reporting efforts for the university as a whole. She also supports research initiatives for academic programs and partnerships.

Additionally, Pauletti is providing guidance on the implementation of Lynn’s accelerated degree program, which allows eligible students to complete their undergraduate degree in as little as three years and graduate degree in one.

Throughout her professional career, she has served as a consultant to her peers, as well as outside agencies. She has authored articles in several scholarly journals, including the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology and Child Development. Pauletti interests include childhood aggression, narcissism and gender identity. Learn more about her.
