Student Research Symposium highlights student achievements

The College of Arts and Sciences hosted the 2024 Lynn University Student Research Symposium. Congratulations to all the award winners:

Presentation awards

  • Best oral presentation: "AI's Carbon Shadow: An Exploration of the Energy Dilemma and Earth's Future," by Olga Roussos. Faculty mentor: Ellen Ramsey, associate professor.
  • Best overall poster presentation: "Emotional Eating, Self-Esteem, and Resilience in Young Adults," by Gabriela Barber, Sophia Fiz and Sean Blumenfeld. Faculty mentor: Patrick Cooper, associate professor.

  • Technology category: "San Francisco International Airport's Impact on Bay Area" by Julia Delaney. Faculty mentor: Jennifer Torres, assistant professor. 
  • Natural science category: "Receipts, A Source of Bisphenol A," by Camryn Brown and Grace Gouws. Faculty mentor: Erika Doctor, associate professor.
