Celebrating the 20th annual anniversary of the Gingerbread Holiday Concert

"Boy, have we got a show for you today," said Jon Robertson, dean of the Lynn University Conservatory of Music. "Just sit back, relax and enjoy the show."

With that, Robertson turned away from the audience and faced the Lynn University Philharmonia to conduct a family-friendly concert featuring Christmas melodies, jazz numbers, drum repertoires, sing-alongs with the audience, a special appearance from Santa Claus, snowflakes falling on stage and more. Before the show, attendees enjoyed bites and refreshments while children received book copies of The Gingerbread Man and decorated miniature nutcracker toys.

Lynn's annual Gingerbread Holiday Concert welcomed 658 guests to the Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center on Sunday, Dec. 10, raising over $100,000 for the Conservatory of Music.

"Over 20 years, the concert has raised more than $1.2 million for Lynn Conservatory of Music student scholarships," said Lisa Miller, director of Advancement. "The students who have benefitted from scholarships have gone on to win auditions for major orchestras around the world."
