First-year students gather in Christine's Park.

Lynn University marked the start of its 2022–23 academic year with the largest class in its 60-year history. More than 1,260 new students began classes Monday, bringing Lynn's total enrollment to over 3,500.

"We're proud of our team's work to recruit students who believe in what we are doing here at Lynn," said President Kevin M. Ross. "We offer students an opportunity to dream, to discover and to pave their own way to success—and that's why Lynn continues to be a top choice for college-bound students."

The incoming class, which is comprised of 977 undergraduates, 272 graduate students and 13 doctoral candidates, represents 71 countries and 40 U.S. states and territories. Two students from Mumbai traveled the farthest to pursue their degree in Boca Raton—approximately 8,807 miles from their hometown. The top-five declared undergraduate majors are entrepreneurship, psychology, international business management, sports management and biology, and the average high school GPA is 3.29 for first-year students.

While newcomers are finding a home at Lynn, the university also welcomes back 2,276 upperclassmen who have even more opportunities to stay engaged on campus this year. Capstone Apartments opened on the southwest side of campus Aug. 18 and is home to 342 juniors and seniors who can mentor and guide younger students.

Lynn leadership attributes the university's continued growth and success to its focus on student success.

"As Lynn continues to expand, we are dedicated to providing an innovative, global and personalized education that enables them to reach their potential," said Vice President for Enrollment and University Advancement Gareth Fowles. "We have an unwavering commitment to our students to keep them on track to graduation. We are invested in their futures."

While the university welcomes the class of 2023, admission counselors are already on the road looking ahead to next year. Applications are open for Fall 2023, and campus tours continue. Learn more about admission to Lynn.
