Lynn University is pleased to announce recognition as an Apple Distinguished School for 2022–25 thanks to its dedication to innovation, teaching and exemplary education. Apple Distinguished Schools are centers of innovation, leadership and educational excellence. Lynn’s iPad-powered learning program showcases Apple’s vision for learning with technology. The university has been an Apple Distinguished School since 2014.

Lynn uses Apple technology to inspire collaboration and critical thinking in learning, teaching and the school environment. The university’s faculty innovates with the use of open educational resources to produce openly licensed course materials and original e-books through the Lynn University Digital Press, saving students up to 90% off the cost of traditional textbooks. Assistive technology empowers students with learning differences to maximize their strengths and become independent leaders. In addition, Wi-Fi-enabled buses help student-athletes stay productive as they travel to represent the Lynn Fighting Knights.

The selection of Lynn as an Apple Distinguished School highlights the university’s success as an innovator that engages students and provides tangible evidence of academic achievement. During the coronavirus pandemic, Lynn was uniquely prepared to continue its mission. Leveraging its position as an early adopter of mobile education technology, the university continued to offer courses, academic support and other services 100% virtually.
Lynn was among the first universities to safely reopen its campus in fall 2020. The university strategically introduced block scheduling and remote learning options to provide flexibility for students with health concerns or travel restrictions. With powerful technology in their hands, Lynn’s students stayed on track and enhanced their grades and attendance during the pandemic.
