Kelli Klein

Professional profile

Kelli Klein is a certified nonprofit professional with over seven years of experience in large and small nonprofit organizations and higher education. Her accomplishments in leading programs have had an immediate and significant impact on the communities they serve, including the Senior Legacy Committee at Hunter College, which engaged students to raise over $10,000 in one semester—doubling achievements in the past. She also made an impact at Music and Memory, where she raised over $2 million with her team.

Klein’s commitment to giving back, raising awareness and collaborating with colleagues, alumni and students has not wavered since high school. Klein discovered her interest in fundraising as a high school sophomore. Her passion for making a difference motivated her to raise over $16,000 for the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation by selling celebrity-inspired merchandise. The experience allowed her to collaborate with top-tier nonprofit executives and paved the way for a career in development.

In recent years, Klein adopted the alumni relations program at Hunter College—fueling her passion for building relationships and connecting people to causes they care about. The development of the program catapulted her into a world of alumni engagement.

At Lynn University, Klein engages alumni with one-on-one meetings and develops relationships on behalf of the university. She does all this by hosting signature alumni and career-focused events, managing alumni social media platforms and marketing initiatives, expanding alumni benefits, creating monthly alumni newsletters, partnering with campus departments and teams to engage specific affinity groups, and more.
