Professional profile
Dr. Altieri oversees student life at Lynn University, including campus safety, housing, recreation, student involvement, health and counseling, spiritual and religious life, multicultural affairs and the Student Wellness office. His team focuses on personally, socially and professionally developing students through experiences beyond the classroom both on campus and in the community.
Since joining Lynn in 2006, Altieri has served in multiple capacities including assistant dean of students. Most recently, he established the university's competencies-driven New Student Transitional Program and its Lynn Leadership Institute, which creates further opportunities for co-curricular learning.
Altieri regularly addresses higher education professionals across the U.S. about student success, student conduct, and other industry trends. Altieri is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach and holds many honors, including the "Excellence in Institutional Change" award by ACPA: College Student Educators International, and the "Idahlynn Karre Exemplary Leadership Award" through The Chair Academy.
Altieri is currently the vice chair of the board of directors for the Spirit of Giving Network. He also served on the board of directors of the Pediatric Oncology Support Team at St. Mary's Hospital and on the Education and Youth Advisory Board for the city of Boynton Beach, Florida.
