HCM 305Healthcare Management and Operations

This course is designed to prepare students to develop their knowledge, understanding and skills of health care leadership by differentiating the conceptual and theoretical aspects and models of leadership and leadership studies from a healthcare perspective. Students will study marketing and communication strategies, interpersonal relationships, leadership theories, organizational culture and diversity, change management, consensus building, working with teams and strategic planning so they can prepare for a position to which they aspire. The fundamentals of health care leadership are taught with an emphasis on how to live out these fundamentals in an ethical and culturally component manner.
