AVF 101 is the second part of a two course sequence for the Private Pilot Certificate. Methodology and requirements of the private pilot certificate that prepares the student for the FAA practical test. During the course, students will learn how to conduct comprehensive preflight planning for cross-country flights, including how to handle risk and make effective decisions using SRM tools. AVF 101 requires 24 hours of dual flight instruction, 6 hours of solo flight, 15 hours of ground pre/post flight briefings, and two stage checks and EOC. The course requirements are met when the student earns his or her Private Pilot Certificate.
