AVF 100Private Pilot Flight Lab - Basic

AVF 100 is the first part of a two course sequence for the Private Pilot Certificate. Methodology and requirements of the private pilot certificate that prepares the student for his or her first solo cross-country flight. Additionally, students learn about the safety of flight, the operation of airports, interpreting aeronautical charts, and the requirements for airspace. Furthermore, the student gains an understanding of ATC services, radio procedures, and maneuvers relevant to Private Pilots. AVF 100 requires 27 hours of dual flight instruction, 3 hours of solo flight, 15 hours of ground pre/post flight briefings, and a Stage I check. The course requirements are met when student passes the Stage I check.
