Mike Perez inducted into The Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame

Lynn University's winningest coach, Mike Perez, was inducted into The Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame in May 2021. Originally from Kingston, New York, Perez joined Lynn in 1989, leading the Fighting Knights tennis teams to seven national championships.

The 32-year veteran has won 1,168 career matches with the Fighting Knights, making him No. 6 for all-time career coaching wins in collegiate tennis history. Perez has coached 74 All-American men and 120 All-American women. Since entering the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) in 1998, Perez has claimed 16 SSC Titles and boasts a combined men's and women's SSC record of 269-54. In 163 SSC women's contests, the Fighting Knights have lost only 16 matches under his leadership.
