Lynn University has been a part of South Florida's arts community for more than 20 years. So, when the curtain closed on the Conservatory of Music and Live at Lynn due to COVID-19, patrons anxiously awaited a return to the stage.

After 18 months, in August 2021, Lynn announced that in-person concerts and performances would resume.

"We had previously received calls from patrons on a weekly and monthly basis, asking when performances were coming back," said Madeline Moses, guest experience manager. "I couldn't wait to share the lineup for our 2021–22 season."

Soon, the season calendar revealed shows, master classes, piano recitals, Philharmonia performances and more. Lynn's B.F.A. in drama program set out to produce Lerner and Loewe's Gigi in honor of the late Jan McArt. Calls poured into Lynn's box office from patrons and longtime fans.

"Hearing the phone ring again felt wonderful," said Moses. "I heard many lovely comments from patrons who gladly shared their enthusiasm with me."

Lynn also announced it would hold its annual Gingerbread Holiday Concert at the Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center—a fundraiser for Lynn Conservatory of Music student scholarships.

"The response to having the Gingerbread Holiday Concert back is overwhelming," said Lisa Miller, director of annual programs. "Many people enjoy this pops concert as a kick-off to the holiday season, and there's nothing better than hearing the Lynn Philharmonia in person."
