National education company EAB named Lynn University the winner of its Student Success Collaborative—Return on Education Award. The award is accompanied by a $1,000 scholarship donation granted to the university.

Lynn joined the student success collaborative in 2018 and implemented Navigate in March of 2019 to track and get a better understanding of a student's on-time trajectory to graduation. The service allowed the university to issue a mobile app for students to access resources, the ability to launch campus–wide campaigns to facilitate course registrations, financial planning and the coordination of student arrivals on campus. Lynn's consistent focus on student success plans and interventions allowed the university to make progress on retention goals with a 7% increase in the past five years.

"Earning EAB's Return on Education Award is a testament to the work Lynn's campus community accomplished, in collaboration with the Navigate platform, to produce positive measurable outcomes for our students in retention, persistence and graduation rates," said Taryn Hamill, director of enrollment management at Lynn. "The growth has been extraordinary, and the achievements Lynn has made in student success are being celebrated and recognized amongst 900 institutions in the student success collaborative."

EAB's Return on Education Award recognizes institutions that have seen significant and measurable results from its efforts to help students persist, graduate and thrive. This is the ninth year in a row that EAB has recognized outstanding achievements in student success. Honorees are chosen from the company's list of colleges, universities and individuals that use Navigate, EAB's student success management system, or Starfish, the student success platform EAB acquired in 2021.

"Students, faculty and campus staff have become savvier with respect to combining both online and in-person student support services," said EAB President of Technology, Scott Schirmeier. "The winners of EAB's 2022 Student Success Collaborative Awards are leading the way in rethinking the student support model and using technology in creative ways to keep students on track to graduate."

EAB presented the award at CONNECTED22, a three-day gathering of thousands of student success leaders from progressive community colleges as well as four-year colleges and universities.
