AVF 121Primary Flight Theory - Advanced Ground School

Provides the student with the advanced theoretical knowledge as part of the FAA requirements for the Private Pilot written exam under FAR Part 141 for a single-engine, land class airplane. Topics include aircraft performance, weight and balance, navigation, flight planning, air traffic control, airport layout and operations, human factors, and risk management. Note: this course meets the partial FAA requirements for Private Pilot ground school, but does not include any hands-on training in controlling a physical aircraft. In addition, this course provides fundamental theoretical knowledge that is useful for students pursuing non-flight aviation programs.
