Professional profile

George Antoniou, Ph.D., is an associate professor teaching undergraduate courses in cybersecurity management. Antoniou area of expertise is in cybersecurity management, and research interests include leadership, developing effective information security policies, cloud security, blockchain identity access management, and cyber education and awareness.

Antoniou has 30 years’ experience in information security, information security risk management, information security quality assurance compliance and associated information security technologies in the private sector. He has experience in strategic planning and enterprise level security architecture, security operations and policy development in small-medium-large, national and multi-national complex information security technology infrastructures.

Prior to joining Lynn University he was an assistant professor of cybersecurity management at St. Thomas University. He has worked in various positions in information security at various Fortune 500 corporations. Antoniou is a Certified Information Security Manager and holds a Ph.D. from Nova Southeastern University (NSU). He completed his Ph.D. dissertation specializing in information security policies design in exceptional circumstances. He holds a M.S. degree in management information systems specializing in information security from NSU and a B.S. in computer science and telecommunications from SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
