Students eligible to receive a Presidential Scholarship have demonstrated their intellectual curiosity, commitment to service and to enhancing their community. This is a merit-based award that covers tuition, housing and food. This scholarship is renewable annually when the recipient maintains a cumulative 3.0-grade point average (GPA) at Lynn University.

Each year, Lynn awards two Presidential Scholarships: one to a student attending high school in the United States and one to student attending high school abroad.

Eligibility requirements for the Presidential Scholarship include:

  • Receiving an offer of admission from Lynn University by Feb. 1.
  • Enrolling as an undergraduate, first-time full-time student.
  • Maintaining a high school GPA of 3.65 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) if standardized test scores were not considered for admission.
  • Maintaining a high school GPA of 3.50 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) if standardized test scores were considered for admission. A minimum SAT score of 1050 or ACT score of 20 is required.

Students who apply for the Presidential Scholarship will be evaluated in a holistic manner, which includes all components of their application. Test scores will only be included in the evaluation for those students who provided SAT or ACT scores with their application.

Eligibility

This aid is for undergraduate, new, day, first-year full-time students admitted by Feb. 1.

Instructions

As part of the Presidential Scholarship application, students will be asked to respond to one question that provides further insight into their character. Additionally, students will be required to submit a video highlighting how they will make a positive impact on the Lynn community.

The Office of Admission will contact students who meet the eligibility requirements to apply for the Presidential Scholarship by Feb. 15. Students are required to submit their application and video by March 15 for consideration. The scholarship recipients will be notified by April 1.
