Ethnobotany is an interdisciplinary field combining the study of plants and the ways people have interacted with them Bridging the natural and social sciences, ethnobiology covers topics from plant domestication and agriculture, plant use in a variety of traditions, folk classification, traditional ecological knowledge, drug discovery, and intellectual property rights. While examining the key principles and learning the practices and techniques of ethnobotany, students will explore the relationships between people and plants all over the world.
