MUT 350Orchestration

This course will introduce the student to the instruments of the orchestra and techniques to use them in a variety of combinations. It will begin with a survey of the standard instrumental families and the individual instruments within each family. The second part of the course will be concerned with various aspects of orchestration, eg. balance, contrast aand color, transcription, etc.
