MUS 501Applied Instrument

In this course, students strive to develop their individualmusical performance ability to its fullest potential, both musically andtechnically. Students receive training through a broad variety of repertoireand develop independent thinking. Weekly studio classes present a performanceworkshop dealing with various topics such as technique, performance andpedagogy. Additionally, students are required to fulfill specific performancerequirements in concerto and chamber music performance as well as mockorchestral auditions. Students are required to perform and/or teach in thecommunity as assigned by their instructor.
