HCM 315Healthcare Accounting and Finance
This course will examine the concepts of accounting and financial management of health care institutions, including government and managed care reimbursement methodologies, healthcare costs, budgeting, and control funds needed to meet strategic organizational objectives. Students will also examine the concepts of benchmarking, ratio analysis, and other financial analysis tools within the healthcare continuum. The pros and cons of a single-payer system will also be examined.
