HCM 310Quality Management and Human Resources in Healthcare

This course introduces students to health care quality improvement/management and offers basic review of the most popular operational and project management tools, practice of managing the employment relationship, and concepts and statistics used on health/business today such as quality improvement tools and techniques used in problem solving and decision making. Topics include operations assessment, marketing, and the development/management of human resources in various healthcare environments. Additionally, the course will cover common data analysis techniques inherent in the quality improvement process, as well as the survey and certification process under which various health care organizations abide.
