AVF 200Instrument Flight Lab Basic
This is the first of a two course sequence leading to the Instrument Rating. Methodology and requirements of the instrument rating that the student has a foundation in attitude instrument flying, including the operation, use, and limitations of flight instruments and instrument navigation systems, and how ATC system functions. AVF 200 requires 18 hours dual flight instruction, 7 hours in the Advanced Aviation Training Device, 13 hours of ground pre/post flight briefings, and a Stage I and II checks. The course requirements are met when student passes the Stage II check.
