Alumni giving: Abel Gogo '17

Arriving to work each day at Kenya's largest airport, Captain Abel Gogo '17 encounters people from around the world—a similar feeling to what he found at Lynn University as a student.

"The most memorable thing about Lynn is the international environment," said Gogo. "The students from all over [the world] made Lynn feel like home."

Gogo, an aviation and security executive, earned his MBA in aviation management from Lynn in 2017. He is a trained pilot as well, with experience in aviation management and regulation. Today, he's the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport manager.

For the past two years, Gogo has made a point to give back to students who want to pursue an education like he did. He gives to the university's Annual Fund, which provides scholarships, classroom equipment and much more. Collectively, these donations—both big and small—fulfill Lynn's most immediate needs.

"I donate to Lynn to support deserving students," said Gogo. "I encourage other alumni to support the Lynn community, too."
