CRJ 101Introduction to Criminal Justice

An overview of the American criminal justice system with emphasis on its major components. This includes a review of the functions of police, courts, corrections and the interrelated structure of the agency. The constitutional rights of an individual from arrest (police) to trial/plea bargaining (courts) through sentencing/release (corrections) will be examined.
