Teaching philosophy

Sherrie Good regards teaching as analogous to painting. The teacher presents the frame; the students paint the canvas. A passionate teacher -- for the subject matter, students and the pursuit of knowledge – she embraces diversity of speech, culture, religion, ideas, dress, and the like. An active listener, she believes teachers should show – not tell – how much they know through quality presentations and homework assignments. Good’s teaching of workplace and life skills results in a well-rounded individual who can prosper in modern society – the true liberal arts graduate.
