Professional Profile:

Lynette Johnson has more than 20 years of aviation experience in various facets of the industry. She has worked in aviation training (flight and simulator), aircraft charter and airline operations, FBO operations management and aviation higher education. She earned a B.S.B.A. in Marketing and M.B.A.s in Aviation Management and Hospitality Management. During her professional career, she managed two flight schools and was operations manager for an aircraft charter and airline company. After that she became marketing manager and customer service manager for a NY tri-state fixed-base aviation operator. Later, she became manager of that operation as it expanded into two facilities. After her general aviation career, she went into the simulator training end of the industry. Following that, she joined Lynn University as project manager and developed the FAR Part 142 training program, enabling Lynn University to offer B737 airline training.

My teaching philosophy is learner-centered. I believe that learning in the classroom needs to be integrated with real-life examples and teachings. This provides the student with the background and education necessary for a career in the aviation industry.
