Professional Profile

Leigh Perkins writes, edits and proofreads print and digital communications in support of the Lynn University brand. She is editor of LynnSight magazine and assistant editor of and writer for Lynn magazine. She is also responsible for the editorial components of Arts, Culture and Ideas materials: brochures, ads and marketing communications.

She joined the Lynn team in 2016 after years as a freelance writer and editor. Her byline has appeared in dozens of national magazines and higher education publications, and she has held staff positions at newspapers, magazines and colleges. She is also an experienced manuscript editor: literary fiction, children’s books, memoirs and cookbooks.

Interests:

Running, baking, genealogy, spending time with her three teenage sons, beating her husband at tennis (and losing to him at golf), and fulfilling her lifelong compulsion: reading 100 novels and writing at least one of her own, every year without fail.

Education

A Palm Beach County native, Perkins graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in English literature.
