John Pickering, B.A., M.A., Ph.D.
The Lynn environment has provided me with the opportunity to share ideas with small classes in a variety of subject matter which I have found interesting and stimulating. In addition, the Lynn environment allows a freedom to the professor to pursue subject matter in their unique style, and provides a student population of many diverse backgrounds.
John Pickering has been a professor at Lynn University for more than 30 years. Pickering is also a book reviewer.

As a student of history, I believe the study of history provides one with a critical understanding of the present and allows us to pursue such an understanding with a variety of disciples (literature, films, economics, geography, etc.). I believe as a professor it is my obligation to create enthusiasm in the classroom for the pursuit of knowledge.
