Smoking and tobacco use

Purpose

The purpose of this Policy is to educate and reduce student and employee exposure to the harmful effects of smoking and tobacco use in the educational environment.

Policy

To comply with government regulations, Lynn University has prohibited smoking and tobacco/simulated tobacco use throughout its workplace, including all University buildings, offices and facilities. Please refer to the University’s Smoking and Tobacco Use Policy.

Employees are protected from retaliatory action or from being subjected to any adverse personal action for exercising or attempting to exercise their rights under the Smoking and Tobacco Use Policy. Any violation of this Policy may result in appropriate corrective disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

Any questions regarding the Smoking and Tobacco Use Policy should be directed to the office of Employee Services.
