The purpose of this policy is to define the University’s policy and procedures for administering personal leave days to eligible regular, full-time employees.
Full-time employees are eligible for two (2) paid personal days, granted on January 1 each year. New hires whose full-time hire date falls between January 1 and June 30 will be granted two (2) personal days. Those whose full-time hire date falls between July 1 and September 30 will be granted 1 personal day. Personal days may be used at the employee’s discretion for religious holidays and personal matters. Employees are not paid for unused personal days either at the end of the year or upon termination of employment.
When possible, personal days should be requested in advance and must be approved by your supervisor.
