New employee orientation

Purpose

The purpose of this Policy is to provide the University's rules for new employee orientation.

Policy

Employee Services holds a one-on-one orientation shortly after hire. During the orientation, a review of University benefits and general policies and procedures are discussed. Individual departments also orientate all new hires to department procedures and practices.

Definitions

Orientation—a systematic, strategic program designed to educate and inform new employees about applicable University benefits and general policies and procedures
