Children in the workplace

Purpose

The purpose of this Children in the Workplace Policy (“Policy”) is to promote the health, safety, and welfare of Minor Children on campus and to establish guidelines for supervisors and course instructors who are responsible for addressing issues of Minor Children in the workplace and classroom or laboratory/research facilities. It also outlines responsibilities for parents and caregivers for any Minor Children they are permitted to bring to University facilities, whether they are students, staff, or faculty/instructors.

Policy

The University has no facilities for childcare, thus, children will not be allowed in the work environment except for a brief visit pursuant to the University’s Children on Campus Policy. All employees should remember that the University is a work environment and should be treated as such.
