Full-time Faculty

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that each academic program has sufficient full-time faculty to support the mission and goals Lynn University, and to ensure curriculum and program quality, integrity and review.

Policy

Each academic program seeks to have at least 50% of the instruction delivered by full-time faculty as measured on an annual basis. Certain professional and practitioner-based programs may have a lower percentage full-time faculty instruction where part-time faculty may be needed to represent the latest skills, thoughts or best practices in that discipline. In these cases, the controlling Dean will inform the Vice-President for Academic Affairs, in their annual report, the justification for the deviation from this policy.

This policy applies to all modes of instruction: face-to-face; online; and hybrid.
