Yes, during the fall and spring semesters, we have two full-time registered nurses (RN) and one part-time advanced registered nurse practitioner (ARNP) on staff. During the summer, services are limited.

Fill your prescriptions at local pharmacies such as Publix, Walgreens or CVS. If you do not have transportation, you may utilize the free delivery service through the following:

Prescriptions delivery may take 24–48 hrs.

Our most commonly administered vaccines include MMR, Hepatitis B, Meningitis, Influenza and Tetanus-Diphtheria. Please call ahead to schedule an appointment, or to find out more information regarding vaccines. Read our immunization policy.

• Class excusals: We do not issue excuses if you miss a class due to illness. We recommend you notify your professor by email or phone as soon as possible. If you have an extended illness that requires hospitalization or extended care, please contact the Dean of Students.

All student health services records and visits are confidential. Medical information is not released to anyone, either verbally or in writing, without the student’s written consent. Providers can only discuss your illness or injury with anyone other than yourself if you provide a written consent form.

Students over 18 years old are the only ones who have access to their medical records. The Student Health office does not contact parents/guardians directly unless specifically requested by the student.

No, all students are responsible for administering their own medication.

We do not charge for office visits. There may be a fee from Student Health or from an insurance company if lab work, medical procedures or vaccines are performed. Students and/or the insurance holder are liable for any bills incurred for laboratory work processed via insurance.

For payments, we only accept cash. Students may charge a Student Health balance to their student account and pay their student account via debit/credit card online or in-person via the office of Student Financial Services.

FERPA: Prevents the disclosure of personally identifiable information (PII) in a student’s education record without the consent of a parent or eligible student (aged 18 or older) unless an exception to the law’s general consent requirement applies. It grants parents and eligible students the right to review the student's education records maintained by the school and request correction of records they believe to be inaccurate or misleading.

HIPAA: Prohibits covered entities from disclosing protected health information (PHI) to any third parties, unless the individual who is the subject of the information (or the individual’s representative) authorizes it in writing or the rule otherwise permits the disclosure.
