The Lynn University community lost a teacher, mentor, colleague and friend on May 31. Dr. Eldon H. Bernstein, professor emeritus, passed away in Delray Beach, Florida—but not before he touched the lives of so many.
“Dr. Bernstein had a long and distinguished career at Lynn and in the College of Business and Management,” said Dr. RT Good, dean. “Well after his retirement, faculty and alumni would recount his impact on their college experience. He will be greatly missed.”
Associate Professor of Finance and International Business Pepe Lopez ’99, ’01, ’03 remembers the opportunities Bernstein provided him. “He was one of the best professors at Lynn. He took students to China 12 times for business trips, and I was lucky to go on six of them. He was my mentor from my undergraduate degree to the day he passed.”
Bernstein joined Lynn in 1994 as a marketing professor. He directed the CEO Speaker Series, which welcomed some of the university’s most notable speakers. Bernstein became professor emeritus in 2016.
Family and friends honored his memory in a virtual service June 3.
