Lynn University's business programs received reaffirmation of accreditation by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE). The designation, which recognizes excellence in business education, was announced at the IACBE meeting in Bloomington, Minnesota July 16–17.
The College of Business and Management completed a rigorous self-evaluation and comprehensive, independent peer review. It also demonstrated compliance with the following accreditation principles of the IACBE:
- Outcomes assessment
- Strategic planning
- Curriculum
- Faculty
- Resources
- Internal and external relationships
- International business education
- Educational innovation
The College of Business and Management also established a commitment to continuous improvement, excellence in business education and advancement of academic quality in its business programs and operations.
"The Lynn community provides incredible services to support our students and prepare them for professional careers to excel in the real world of business," said RT Good, dean of the College of Business and Management. “This accreditation serves as recognition of the quality of not only our business programs, but also the faculty that supports them."
The IACBE is nationally recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). The IACBE is the leader in mission-driven and outcomes-based programmatic accreditation in business and management education for student-centered colleges, universities and other higher education institutions throughout the world.
College of Arts and Sciences earns CACREP accreditation
Lynn’s clinical mental health counseling program received eight-year accreditation from the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). Lynn’s status is certified through 2027.
“With a growing focus on the need for mental health services throughout the country, our program offers students the training needed to excel beyond the classroom and become ethical and competent counselors,” said Debra L. Ainbinder, professor and chair of Lynn’s clinical mental health counseling program.
CACREP accredits master’s and doctoral degree programs in counseling that are offered by colleges and universities in the United States and throughout the world.
