Winners of 2018 Lynn Concerto Competition announced

2018 Lynn Concerto Competition winners

Conservatory of Music students Melanie Riordan, violinist; Bailey-Michelle Collins, pianist; Lydia Roth, flutist; and Kayla Williams. Violist won the 2018 Lynn Concerto Competition. They will appear as soloists with the Lynn Philharmonia in the Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 12 at 4 p.m. Violinist Yue Yang received the alternate designation and collaborative pianist Feruza Dadabaeva received the collaborative pianist award.

Forty-eight conservatory students competed for this performance opportunity with ten selected as finalists and four winners announced. The event was adjudicated by guest musicians Frank Epstein (New England Conservatory), Lydia Artymiw (University of Minnesota) and Borovoj Martinic-Jercic (Iowa State University).
