Lynn’s annual day of giving is back

Calling all Fighting Knights

Lynn University will hold its third annual day of giving from Oct. 23 at 8 p.m. to Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. The campaign brings Fighting Knights across the globe together for one day with one goal: raise the most donations in 24 hours. Every dollar raised supports immediate needs such as scholarships, facilities, arts and culture, and technology.

“From the student volunteers to the alumni who support us year after year, we are so proud of our Lynn family’s spirit and generosity,” said Sherry Henry, associate director of annual giving. “We raised over $50,000 each year so far, and we hope our third year will break our records!”

For the first time, the event will be hosted by GiveCampus, a crowdfunding platform that relies on campus communities to spread the word. Lynn will award prizes to the top five supporters who drive the most traffic to the campaign.

“We encourage everyone who loves Lynn to help us spread the word—it’s the power we have together that makes fundraisers like this so successful,” added Henry.

Students and employees will run the event from the “Knights Station” inside the library events room. Other new additions include Facebook Lives and challenges that promise to keep followers entertained.

Lynn will post live updates from day of giving beginning Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 8 p.m.
