Holcomb completes Citizens Academy program

Victoria Holcomb

Victoria Holcomb, instructional designer in the Instructional Design department, completed Coconut Creek Citizens Academy’s program that teaches residents how city government is run.

The academy is a diverse group of citizens building a community leadership network to increase participation in local affairs. Graduates become civic "ambassadors" within Coconut Creek neighborhoods who can offer "ex-officio" advice and feedback on current projects, initiatives or events. Ideally, some graduates go on to run for elected office or sit on appointed boards.
