With a freshly minted Lynn degree in advertising and public relations, Sara McAveney '17 has returned to campus as our new alumni coordinator.
“Lynn will always be like my second home,” said McAveney, who is originally from West Chester, Pennsylvania. “I love everything Lynn stands for. The university has given me so many opportunities and now I'm excited to be able to give back.”
McAveney will helm Alumni Affair’s social media, and she’ll be a friendly face at events on campus and on the road. She’s also the point person for personal and professional news alumni would like to share with other Lynn graduates.
When she was a Lynn student, McAveney was involved in iPulse and the Pulse Agency, working on campaigns for American College of Dublin and Bloomingdale's. She also interned with Keratin Complex, which led to a full-time job in the company’s public relations department when she graduated. With her graphic design skills, she created print and digital promotional materials, and code and content for their website.
“Our alumni are doing such cool things with their lives,” she said. “I would love to help them realize how much Alumni Affairs has to offer them. I'm looking forward to hearing their stories and showing them the future of the university.”
