Theatre Arts Guild

Be a star! Your support brings quality entertainment to our community.

Your gift to the Theatre Arts Guild supports Libby Dodson's Live at Lynn theater and jazz series. It also helps us provide scholarships and invest in equipment. Ticket sales alone do not cover all the costs of bringing professional performances to our community. We couldn't do it without you—and every year our guild membership continues to grow!

We're grateful for your friendship and financial support. Our members receive:

  • Preseason discounts for Arts, Culture & Ideas subscription series
  • Arts, Culture & Ideas schedule
  • Invitations to annual ice cream social and donor appreciation reception

“We rely on the kindness of strangers to spread the word about our program. Please continue to invite your neighbors and friends to join the Theatre Arts Guild and attend all the shows ... we love to look into the audience and see the familiar faces of good friends!”
Jan McArt, director of theatre arts program development

Dear friends,

This season features a wonderful selection of new and exciting shows. We have the collaborative staged concert version of Milk and Honey March 17 and 18 and a special event that we are so excited about we have to tell you now so you can mark your calendars. On March 10, the U.S. Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors present Sing! Sing! Sing!, free and open to the public. It's jazzy, fun and patriotic. We hope everyone will be dancing in the aisles!

Milk and Honey

Mar. 17
2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Mar. 18
4 p.m.

The Lynn community would like to extend a special thank you to Mrs. Elaine Johnson Wold, generous exclusive sponsor of Milk and Honey, the theatrical highlight of the Wold Performing Arts Center season. This collaborative concert of the Lynn Philharmonia Orchestra and the Live at Lynn Series is a sentimental love story set during the early days of Israel's independence.

Sing! Sing! Sing!

May 10
7:30 p.m.

Known as “America’s Big Band," The U.S. Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors will have the Wold jumping with Sing! Sing! Sing!, covering big band, swing, bebop, Latin, contemporary, jazz standards, popular tunes and patriotic songs.

Tickets are free, on a first-come basis.

It’s certainly our busiest time of year—and I look forward to seeing you again at the theater soon.

Theatrically yours,

Jan McArt
Director of Theatre Arts Program Development
