Get ready to cross the stage and move your tassel ... Lynn University is honoring the class of 2024 with a Commencement ceremony on Tuesday, May 7, at the Palm Beach County Convention Center.

All guests need a ticket to attend. Each graduate may reserve a maximum of six tickets for family and friends. If you have not yet ordered tickets, email [email protected] and include your legal first and last name, ID number and requested number of tickets. 

Please note:

  • Doors open at 11 a.m.
  • Graduates must arrive at the convention center by 12 p.m. Guests must be seated by 1 p.m.
  • Graduates will proceed upstairs to the Grand Ballroom. Graduates will receive their assigned seat, additional honors/regalia, and instructions for the ceremony.
  • Faculty will proceed upstairs to the ballroom area.
  • Lynn employees supporting the ceremony will receive assignment instructions at a later date.
  • Staff will direct all other parties to the appropriate location.

Location, arrival and departure

Graduates and guests can park at no charge at the convention center's garage located off South Rosemary Avenue. Additional parking is available nearby, and Palm Beach County Sheriff's Officers will be available to direct traffic. Find more parking information.

Special assistance

If you are a graduate needing assistance, contact [email protected] to request reasonable accommodations by April 12 for a disability. Guests may also contact [email protected] to request special assistance and/or seating for the ceremony by April 12.

What to wear

We encourage all graduates and guests to dress up for this special occasion! Dress pants, shirts and ties, dresses and skirts are appropriate attire for graduates. Wear comfortable shoes. Flip-flops are not permitted. Business or business-casual attire is encouraged for guests.

Graduates must order their regalia, including a cap, gown and tassel, through Oak Hall by April 8. Be sure to bring your regalia to the ceremony.

During the ceremony

Graduates will receive information about their assigned seats on-site the morning of the ceremony. University staff will provide instructions.

We ask everyone to remain for the duration of the ceremony, which includes the official conferring of degrees.

Honors medal recipients will be notified if they have received a medal based on their final GPA. Medals will be on the chairs of graduates who have earned them.

A professional photographer will photograph each graduate after walking across the stage. Graduates will receive an email several days after commencement that invites them to purchase copies.

Mobile phones are permitted. However, please be courteous and silence your phone during the ceremony. Photography is not permitted on stage.

After the ceremony

We expect the ceremony to finish by 4 p.m. Then, graduates will have the opportunity to take photos with family and friends.

Diplomas are finalized approximately 14 weeks after you complete your degree requirements. The Registrar will deliver the diploma according to the information you provide on the Graduation and Diploma Application form. Please note that your student account must be in order with no balance due.
