DRA 237Musical Theatre History II

In this course students will be introduced to the history and representative artists of the contemporary musical theatre such as Stephen Sondheim, Schonberg and Boublil, Johnathan Larson, Jason Robert Brown, and Lin-Manuel Miranda. Students will also be presented pop/rock music styles of the modern musical theatre industry. Students will explore musical scripts, roles, and songs for material appropriate to their type for use in voice lessons, class work, and auditions.
