Power networking

The Power Networking program gives you free, priority access to a variety of professional organizations. Attend events with any of the following organizations and network with respected community leaders. Link up with experts in your field to enhance your professional development. Attending Power Networking events will teach you how to effectively network, communicate and prepare for your future.

Power Networking events include, and are not limited to:

SMART Talk for Women: Hosted by the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, this event brings together a group of business women each month to discuss topics in marketing, effective selling, empowering your team, web presence and more, in order to support the empowerment of women in the workforce. In a roundtable discussion, a featured speaker will share insight about their professional journey and the successes and challenges they may be faced with today.

International Business ALLIANCE: Discuss international business with professionals on the Lynn campus, with topics including Breaking the Cultural Barrier; Networking in a Global Economy; Immigration Law; and Global Trade. Each session is professionally facilitated and features a speaker with an international business background. Everyone—including students—will have the opportunity to share their own experiences and challenges.

Successful Women in Business (SWIB): The Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce brings together hundreds of successful women to network on a regular basis. Each month, this program brings in a dynamic and successful female business leader to help empower women in the workforce.

Boca Chamber Tourism Committee: This event promotes, develops and coordinates year-round tourism in the Greater Boca Raton area, while creating an awareness and understanding of tourism's effect on and enhancement of the local economy and overall quality of life. Students can attend these events in order to network with hospitality professionals.

Economic Development Committee: Explore economic development in Palm Beach County through these events. With the board's mission to stimulate economic energy, promote business diversity and enrich the vitality of business relocation, retention and expansion, students will receive vast knowledge from board members as well as business professionals to better understand South Florida's ever-growing community.

Gold Coast PR Council Luncheons: The Gold Coast PR Council, Inc., is South Florida's largest independent group of public relations, marketing and communication professionals in the area.
