Paul Beaulieu B.S., M.S.T.

Paul Beaulieu recently joined the College of Arts and Sciences at Lynn University. He holds a full time position as a lecturer teaching mathematics in the Dialogues of Personal Finance 100, Quantitative Reasoning 200 and College Algebra 110. He has been an adjunct professor at Lynn University for the past 7 years and completed his training in the Institute Fellowship Program at Lynn for demonstrating mastery of multi-modality instruction and the use of technology in the classroom.

Beaulieu has a bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University in Mathematics with a minor in Statistics. He received his M.S.T. in Mathematics from Florida Atlantic University. He has taught graduate classes for Middle/High School Mathematics teachers for Florida Atlantic University in conjunction with the National Science Foundation in the Math and Science Partnership Program (MSP). He is currently an adjunct faculty member at Broward College where he teaches a variety of math courses from the algebra's and calculus's to statistics and math for liberal arts. As well as an instructor, Beaulieu is a tutor in the Institute for Achievement Learning at Lynn University focusing on students with learning disabilities.

As an instructor of mathematics, Paul Beaulieu feels the only way to learn mathematics is to do mathematics. Most learning of mathematics comes from one's efforts at solving mathematical problems. Providing an environment in which learning can take place, one that facilitates the stimulation of student's development is imperative. Each student is unique and has his own learning style with that in mind, Beaulieu tries to develop and implement a variety of teaching styles to introduce the content and evaluate their mastery of it.

Beaulieu tries to help students think logically, learn problem solving techniques and create assignments that help make the connection between the classroom and the world beyond the classroom. He also tries to share his knowledge with the students and instill not only a passion for learning but for understanding mathematics and enjoy learning mathematics. he tries to create engaging lessons, interact with each of the students during class, and motivate them to reach their full potential. Lastly, Beaulieu holds high expectations for my students and provide every possible opportunity for them to achieve success in the classroom.
