Omar Babun Codorniu B.S., M.S., Ph. D.

Omar Babun Codorniu received his Ph. D. in mathematics from Florida Atlantic University. He obtained his M.S. in mathematics from the same institution. His undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Oriente, Santiago de Cuba, where he obtained a B. S. in physics with a specialization in mathematics. Babun was hired at Lynn University in 2015. Prior to teaching at Lynn, he worked as a graduate teaching assistant in the Department of Mathematics at Florida Atlantic University, as a learning specialist in Palm Beach State College, and as a mathematics tutor at Broward Community College.

Omar Babun knows that mathematics can be intimidating for some students, so he uses visual tools as well as examples taken from ordinary life to convey mathematical ideas, taking into account the background knowledge of his audience.
