Mike Centowski

Professional profile

Mike Centkowski has worked on many projects ranging from the development of a comic book to creating two 2D animated films which were shown at over 50 film festivals. He was invited to speak at a tech talk in SIGGRAPH in 2006 and worked on the development of Animation Software for Reallusion Studios. Centkowski has been teaching animations and game art courses for more than a decade. During this time he was able to complete several freelance projects for well-known brands including, Animal Planet, Nissan, And White Castle. His writing has been published in 3D Artist Magazine (Issue 96) where his article focused on custom 3D character generation and ZBrush sculpting and painting. Centkowski transitions from his previous role as Animation Program Manager for Digital Media Arts College, to a member of Lynn University's faculty. He hopes to further develop his courses while leading the way on the path to integrating virtual reality into the classroom.

Teaching philosophy

Mike Centkowski strives to make life-long learners out of his students. He uses his own personal experiences in the digital arts world to help his students achieve their own career goals. He has been in the industry for over 10 years and uses his achievements, and failures as tools to help others find their path in becoming the artist they know they can be.
